课程介绍

《大学英语Ⅱ》是大学英语系列课程中的第二部分，它是逐步扩大本科生英语词汇量、提高学生的阅读速度、丰富学生英语书面表达的关键，同时又为后续的《大学英语Ⅲ》以及专业英语课打下基础。本课程在《大学英语Ⅰ》的基础上，增加了词汇量，增大了学生阅读的文章篇幅，在一定程度上提高了学生们的阅读能力，巩固了第一学期的学习成果，为下两个学期的大学英语的更高难度的学习铺平了道路。其中有些词汇的学习也为今后的专业英语课打下了坚实的基础。同时，本课程也与培养学生听说能力的《英语听说》课程相辅相成，共同促进学生英语综合能力的提高。

学习目标

a.  To develop students’ ability to use English in a well-rounded way, especially in
   listening and speaking
b. To enhance students' ability to study independently and improve their general
   cultural awareness
