课程介绍

This course aims to look at literature from the angle of how it might help us make meaning of life, through the reading and discussion of selected materials from literary classics. The materials are categorized into four sections: “Innocence and Experience”, “Conformity and Rebellion”, “Love and Hate”, and “The Presence of Death”. Each section will examine writings of three different genres: fiction, poetry and drama.  

The students will be required to read assigned materials before coming to class and be actively involved in discussions and various other class activities that include presentation and dramatic performance.
